1966 Brittany Blue Bronco: Preserving Patina and Authentic Soul
Balancing vintage survivor aesthetics with reliable modern performance — how we preserved the factory Brittany Blue paint while re-crafting the interior.
Finding a 1966 First-Year Survivor
This 1966 Brittany Blue Bronco spent over five decades on a high-desert cattle ranch in Idaho. Its paint was gently baked by the sun, showcasing natural surface patina, weathered emblems, and an authentic historical stance that money simply cannot replicate in a modern paint booth.

The Conservation Strategy
Rather than stripping the body to bare metal, we carefully cleared and stabilized the existing paint with semi-gloss ceramic protectant. Underneath, every mechanical component — axles, steering linkage, braking system, and wire harnesses — was meticulously renewed to factory-fresh reliability.

Interior Contrast: Fresh Biscuit Leather Against Weathered Blue
The cabin was treated to a full Palmetto Biscuit Leather kit with antique brass grommets. The warm honey-brown tone of the fresh leather against the aged cool Brittany Blue steel dashboard creates a breathtaking visual contrast that captures the spirit of heritage motoring.
